New Jersey barbecue raises money for veterans and Fisher House Foundation
An annual barbecue in New Jersey is once again giving back to veterans and their families. For the eighth year, Scotty Mac’s Sippy Pu Barbecue is raising money to support the Fisher House Foundation, which provides free housing for military and veteran families while loved ones receive medical care. The event takes place at Demarest Farms in Hillsdale and has grown into a major fundraiser, with organizers saying it has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years. Founder Scott McDowell shared how the event started, why supporting veterans is so important, and how the community continues to show up.
