At least 188 dead after back-to-back earthquakes devastate northern Venezuela

Rescuers in northern Venezuela are urgently digging through the rubble of collapsed buildings after consecutive earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 struck less than a minute apart. The disaster has killed at least 188 people, injured over 1,500 and left hundreds more trapped beneath debris.
