Hundreds of claims filed on first day of NY's Child Victims Act

Beginning Wednesday under New York State?s child victims act, sexual abuse survivors have a one-year window that allows any survivor to file a civil suit against their abuser and, or the institution who covered up the abuse, regardless of how long ago the abuse occurred.
