Fire destroys paper plant

A fire destroyed the Marcal paper mill in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. The eight-alarm fire erupted at about 5 p.m. Wednesday. The wind whipped up the flames for hours and sent glowing embers into the sky, prompting officials to evacuate several homes near the facility as a precaution.
