Wage hikes for airport workers

Airport workers in the New York area will be getting raises. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey on Thursday approved raising, in phases, the minimum wage for airport workers from $10.45 per hour to $19 per hour by 2023. For the past five years, airport workers at JFK and LaGuardia airports have been making $13 an hour, the state minimum wage. Workers at Newark International Airport in New Jersey make $10.45 an hour. But that is about to change.
