Coyote attacks

Authorities in Westchester County issued warnings after one or more coyotes attacked two people Wednesday evening, a postal worker Thursday morning, and a cyclist Thursday afternoon. Police are concerned the animal or animals could be rabid. The Wednesday evening attacks occurred on Kent Avenue and then Overlook Road in Hastings-on-Hudson. Both victims were taken to hospitals for treatment. In the Overlook Road attack, the coyote killed a small dog.
