Helping the homeless

New York City officials are expanding outreach efforts for the city's exploding homeless population, especially since temperatures plunged early last week. The pilot program will target the area of 30th Street to 60th Street in Midtown Manhattan. The NYPD is working with the Department of Homeless Services to add and expand services. The outreach efforts will be expanded from two days a week to every day.
