Dr. Mitch Rosenthal, founder of Phoenix House, and Peter Santoro, a VP at Lower Eastside Service Center, came to Good Day New York to talk about America's opioid crisis. Santoro told his very personal story of addiction to opiates more than 25 years ago. After losing everything, he entered his ninth treatment facility ? Lower Eastside Service Center ? and got clean. Today, he is a vice president of the very same agency that saved his life.
