Manhunt underway after suspect escapes NYPD custody in Gramercy

Police are searching for a 34-year-old man who slipped out of custody near NYU Langone Medical Center around 7 p.m. Thursday. He was last seen near the FDR Drive at East 30th Street, and officers have expanded the search across the city.
