Hoboken PATH station to close until Sept. 2 for emergency switch repairs

The Hoboken PATH station will shut down for urgent repairs through 5 a.m. on Sept. 2, following a switch malfunction that caused a train derailment last month. The Port Authority will run 24/7 free shuttle buses between Hoboken, Newport, and Exchange Place, with extra train service from Journal Square during the closure.
