‘Rodney’s revives Dangerfield’s Comedy Club

Dangerfield’s Comedy Club on the Upper East Side was the world’s oldest comedy club, until it closed during the pandemic. But thanks to one local comic, he’s renovated the legendary venue and reintroduced it as “Rodney’s” comedy club. Rodney Dangerfield opened the venue in 1969 and helped to kickstart the careers of Andrew Dice Clay and Roseanne Barr. Now “Rodney’s” is looking to continue the legacy of the comedy institution, but with a new, fresh atmosphere. Good Day New York’s Ryan Kristafer visited “Rodney’s” to learn the story behind the iconic venue.
