Governor Kathy Hochul and the NY state legislature are facing mounting pressure as the state budget is due in just three days. A key point of contention is bail reform, with the governor pushing for changes to the 2019 laws that eliminated cash bail for most misdemeanors and some nonviolent felony charges.
