The intensity of the first snowstorm of the season was still being felt during the Friday morning commute.  While the snow was ending, the wind picked up and heavy rain was falling impacting commuters and motorists.

West Orange Public Schools closed on Friday after students and staff were stranded at district schools overnight. Buses were turned back due to a fierce snow storm that hit the area Thursday afternoon into the evening commute. According to the school website, some buses were diverted to the Chit Chat diner for a few hours. 

The Walt Disney Company donated $500,000 to help those impacted by wildfires burning in California, the company announced Tuesday.

Firefighters on Tuesday were focusing on the containment line of the Woolsey Fire and battling a new flare-up in Ventura County.

On its fifth day Monday, the fire burned 93,662 acres and is thirty percent contained, according to Cal Fire.
