Man to honor 9/11 crews by pushing drink cart from Boston to New York

A former flight attendant who lost several colleagues when United Flight 175 was flown into the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, is honoring his friends on the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks by pushing an airline beverage cart from Boston to ground zero in New York.

The NYPD said that a 29-year-old man rammed a rental truck into several cyclists and pedestrians in Lower Manhattan Tuesday, killing eight people. The driver barreled along the bike path for the equivalent of about 14 blocks and collided with a small school bus. The driver got out and brandished weapons. A police officer with the 1st Precinct shot him. The chaotic incident unfolded just feet from the World Trade Center site.

After the attacks on September 11, 2001, people moved out of downtown and so did businesses. Right now, 3 World Trade Center is on pace to be complete in spring 2018. Construction manager Carlos Valverde showed Fox 5 what will be the main lobby. The bottom third of the building will be occupied by Group-M, the world's largest media investment group.
