The NTSB is investigating the collision of two buses in Queens. Police said a Dahlia tour bus was speeding when it slammed into the back of an MTA bus. The force of the collision spun the MTA bus into the opposite direction of traffic. Three people died in the crash.

This security camera video shows a Daliah tour bus, traveling east on Northern Blvd., crashing into an MTA bus that had just turned onto the boulevard from Main St. One bus also struck a building, sparking a fire. A pedestrian, a passenger and the driver of the tour bus were killed.

Bodycam footage released by police on Thursday shows what happened inside the bedroom of 31-year-old Miguel Richards on September 6. The video shows the four officers pleading with Richards for several minutes to drop his weapons before he was shot.

Amazon facility coming to New York City

It doesn't look like much now but an Amazon building is already being built on Staten Island. Staten Island Borough President James Oddo said he hopes it'll be fully operational in about a year. The structure is only a concrete frame now but soon thousands of people will be working here. This West Shore site, in Bloomfield, will house Amazon's first facility in New York. The facility sits on Gulf Avenue at the Matrix Global Logistics Park.

NYC violent crime tumbles

The NYPD said that violent crime in the city has dropped to a historic low. But some critics are wondering if police should be doing more to stop the so-called quality-of-life crimes. The phrase "long hot summer" refers to the traditionally high-crime months of July and August. But Mayor Bill de Blasio said this summer's declining crime rate is turning that phrase on its head.

A celebration of Caribbean cultures stepped off Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn under very tight security on Monday. The annual J'ouvert festival and West Indian Day Parade draw huge crowds. But the events had issues with violence in the past. Immediately after two murders last year, event organizers and community leaders met with police and city officials to come up with a new security plan. Their goal was to create a safe environment while celebrating Caribbean culture.

NYPD cops sickened in Queens

Several NYPD officers were taken to a hospital after being sickened inside a Queens apartment building Friday morning. Police received a noise complaint call around 2 a.m. After entering a fifth-floor apartment on Saunders Street and 63rd Drive in Rego Park, the officers were exposed to an unknown substance, according to Assistant Chief Juanita Holmes, the commander of Patrol Borough Queens North. The cops found a 39-year-old man under the influence of drugs. Holmes said the man was "irrational" and officers took him into custody.
