Woman hit by own car dies

STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) — An 84-year-old Stamford woman has died after she was struck by her own car. Police say the woman pulled into the driveway of a condominium complex at about 4 p.m. Tuesday and got out of the vehicle to talk to a neighbor. As the pair chatted the car rolled backward and struck them both.

Both were taken to the hospital, where the driver died of her injuries.

The other woman's injuries are not considered life threatening.

No names have been made public.

The incident remains under investigation.
