Water main break, steam pipe leak in Manhattan
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - A stretch of 6th. Ave. in Midtown Manhattan was closed for hours on Monday following a water main break and steam pipe leak in the area. There were worries that part of the road could collapse due to the issue.
The FDNY and Con Edison were on the scene and some buildings were evacuated. The pipe burst around 9:40 a.m. near West 57th and 58th Streets.
