Teen delivery worker killed in bike crash in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (AP) - A teenager making restaurant deliveries on his bicycle has been hit by a car and killed in Brooklyn.

Police say Sunday they're continuing to investigate but so far don't suspect any criminal behavior in the crash Saturday evening near the Park Slope neighborhood.

Police say 14-year-old Edwin Ajacalon was riding east on 23rd Street when a BMW sedan hit him at the intersection of Fifth Avenue. He was unconscious when authorities arrived and was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Witness Stephanie Cordova Rodriguez told news outlets that four young men were in the car, and the driver was "hysterical" after the wreck. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Friends say the boy was a Guatemalan immigrant working as a deliveryman.
