SUV hits pedestrians on Upper West Side sidewalk

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - An SUV jumped a curb on the Upper West Side late Thursday morning, striking two pedestrians, police said. It happened outside 41 West 96 Street at about 11:35 a.m.

First responders rushed a 63-year-old woman and a 59-year-old man to the hospital, where the woman was listed in critical condition with a possible severed leg. The man was listed in stable condition, police said.

The driver of the Toyota RAV-4 stayed at the scene, police said.

Cops are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
