Protest at Harlem church over anti-LGBT messages

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - A community is confronting a local church they say is spreading hate instead of peace and love. The church is in Harlem. A lot of people in the neighborhood have a problem with the messages posted on the billboard outside.

Fox 5 was at the rally Monday night. Several people from both sides of the debate shared their views. They came face to face at the rally. Some in the community say the Atlah Church is teaching hate. The pastor defends his religious teachings. The Announcement board has been used as a vehicle to attack Muslims, the president and most consistently the LGBT community.

Protesters arrived first. Then Pastor Manning and his congregation came out. It was passionate and at times confrontational.
