Police union calls for Bratton's resignation

The leader of the second-largest police union in New York wants Commissioner Bill Bratton to resign.

On Sunday, Ed Mullins of the Sergeants Benevolent Association said: "It's time that we start to set the department straight, and if we need to make changes at the top, I personally think Bratton has stayed too long, and it's time to go."

At least nine high ranking individuals are under investigation for corruption.

Speaking on the John Gastimatidis radio show Sunday, “It’s time that we start to make the department straight,’ said Mullins.

Among the issues according to Mullins, we have lower ranking officers being punished more severely than high ranking cops.

"We have issues of integrity," said Mullins.
