Police officer shoots, wounds driver during traffic stop

HADDON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) --- Authorities say a police officer shot and wounded a driver during a traffic stop in New Jersey.

But details on what sparked the shooting have not been disclosed.

The shooting occurred around 10 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Routes 130 and 168 in Haddon Township. The driver was taken to a hospital, but further details on the driver's condition were not disclosed.

The officer apparently was not injured in the incident.

The Camden County prosecutor's office will review the shooting, which is standard procedure in shooting involving police officers.
