PHOTOS: Wraps and salads possibly affected by parasite

Federal food safety officials issued a public health alert about pre-made beef, pork and poultry salads and wraps sold at Kroger, Trader Joe's, Duane Reade, Walgreens and other retailers because of the risk of contamination with a parasite called cyclospora.

The USDA released photos of the labels for the 25 products, which were produced from July 15 to 18 with the "Best By," "Enjoy by," Best if Sold By" or "Sell By" dates ranging from July 18 through July 23, 2018.

The products are stamped with the establishment number "EST. 39985 or P-39985" inside or next to the USDA inspection mark.

"Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them," the Food Safety and Inspection Service said in a release. "These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase."
