NYC's Other Music record store to close

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - The record store Other Music has been a New York institution for years, specializing in underground vinyl and CDs. And after 20-plus years in business it just made the announcement that the records will stop spinning on June 25.

Josh Madell is one of the cofounders of a store that has made its mark on New York's music scene while impacting many loyal customers. For the music lovers who spent time here, the store offered a true sense of community and a place to develop lasting friendships.

Other Music promises to continue stocking new music while remaining fully operational until its last day.
