Movie trailer for 'Sully' released

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - The story behind the 'Miracle on the Hudson' when Pilot Chelsey 'Sully' Sullenberger  landed a commercial plane on the Hudson River is coming to the big screen.

Actor Tom Hanks plays the hero captain in 'Sully.'

A trailer for the highly anticipated film was released Wednesday.

The movie, directed by Clinton Eastwood, is scheduled for release on Sept. 9, 2016.

155 people on board US Airways Flight 1549, an Airbus A320, survived the water landing on Jan. 15, 2009.

The movie tells the story of an investigation into Sullenberger and his decision to land the plane on water.
