Prisoner back in custody after escaping Bronx prison

A man who escaped from a prison in the Bronx earlier Saturday is now back in custody.

A prisoner who escaped from a Bronx prison in Hunts Point on Saturday morning is back in custody, according to authorities.

Officials say David Mordukhaev, 30, escaped from the Vernon C. Bain Correctional Center at 1 Halleck Street at around 4:15 a.m.

Officers noticed that Mordukhaev was missing from his assigned housing area and began a search.
