Manhattan high-rise fire injures 7

A fire at a high-rise building in Washington Heights left seven people injured on Friday afternoon.

The fire, which broke out on the 19th floor of the 32-floor building sometime after 4 p.m., was brought under control just over an hour after firefighters were alerted.

Of the injuries, two were considered serious while the remaining five were considered minor. All victims were brought to area hospitals.
