Hollywood-style bank robbery in Queens

The NYPD along with the FBI are on the hunt for bank robbers who pulled off a Hollywood-style heist in Rego Park, Queens.

The thieves apparently broke in through the roof of the bank on Woodhaven Boulevard.

Piles of empty safe deposit boxes and a ladder were found on the roof Monday afternoon.

A police officer is stationed outside the bank and a sign on the window reads: "we will reopen as soon as possible."

According to police, the robbers also cut the surveillance video feed, but police say they do have images of the robbers.

Investigators are looking into the possibility that the same robbers were involved in a heist in Borough Park, Brooklyn in April where they got away with $280K.

Similar incidents have occurred in Bensonhurst and Bayside.
