Former teacher admits she failed 2016 SATs

Abi Elphinstone failed the Scholastic Aptitude Test and she isn't ashamed one bit.

It turns out, Elphinstone, a former English teacher, thinks it's a good idea to tell students it's OK to fail the exam that determines, in large part, what colleges will accept them.

The Scottish writer took to Facebook to share her message and the post has gone viral.

"Kids, you don't need to know what a modal verb or a subordinating conjunctive is to get where you want to go in life. You need ideas and passion - so go on adventures, dream BIG and don't worry about your SATs scores."

However, not all the comments are supportive of Elphinstone.

Some say it's a terrible statement and that children should be pushed to take the exams.
