NEW YORK (FOX5NY.COM) - An explosion at fire equipment facility in Orange County, New York, severely injured two workers on Friday, according to New York State Police.
The blast at Oprandy's Fire Equipment in Wallkill injured Frank Buono, 23, of Goshen and Christopher Foust, 35, of Warwick, police said. Foust was filling a fire extinguisher when it exploded, severely injuring the men's legs, police said.
State troopers who responded to the scene applied tourniquets to the men's legs until medics arrived.
A helicopter flew the men to Westchester Medical Center where they are listed in serious condition, police said.
