THE BRONX - Police found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound in the Bronx earlier today. He was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.

What we know:
NYPD responded to a call at 1:11 p.m. earlier today, August 26, in the vicinity of 710 Croes Avenue in the Bronx.
Police found an unconscious 34-year-old man at the scene, who was unresponsive and had a gunshot wound to his torso.
Emergency services took the man to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is currently ongoing. There have not been any arrests yet.
What we don't know:
The identity of the man is currently being withheld, pending family notification.
The identity of whoever shot the 34-year-old is also unknown.
