BoroughCon welcomes gamers, anime enthusiasts to Queens

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - Anime, Comic Book, and video game enthusiasts gather during the holiday weekend.

BoroughCon kicked off its festivities on Friday at St. John’s University in Queens.

The four-day event features film and TV show screenings, gaming tournaments, and held multiple contests, including cosplay.

BoroughCon, branching off from different anime and gaming conventions, chose to host its conventions at a college campus to provide a thriving university atmosphere.

Special guests for this year’s BoroughCon include voice actor Dante Basco, Actor Sean Astin, and founder of New Arab Media (NA3AM), Prince Fahad Al Saud.
