Betty White to guest star on 'Bones'

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Legendary comedian and actress Betty White is returning to the small screen in a guest role on the hit FOX show, Bones. The 93-year-old took to Twitter Thursday to make the announcement: "Wanted to let you know first that I will be joining the @BONESonFOX family for an upcoming episode this fall! #Bones"

White will reportedly play 'Dr. Beth Mayer,' an experienced forensic anthropologist who assists in the investigation of a murder linked to fantasy football.

The series returns for season 11 on Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. on FOX 5.
