At home with Barbara Corcoran

Barbara Corcoran is a self-made real estate mogul and one of Shark Tank's brightest stars. She is now a cover model, too.

If you think Corcoran is all about business think again. She is funny, engaging, easy going. And her Park Avenue, New York City, apartment fits her personality to a "T." It is light and bright, the antithesis of stuffy.

As soon as you enter her apartment, you walk down a long hallway before stepping into her living room where two white couches face each other, across from a fireplace. The look is beachy, the vibe says: "stay a while." There are flowers everywhere and artwork that's formal and informal. She suggested we chat in everyone's favorite place to sit: the window seat.

One of the coolest places in Corcoran's apartment was her kitchen, which she called small but efficient.

"Resident" magazine captured Barbara as the queen of her domain. I couldn't help but thinking that her persona may be "boss lady" but this shark definitely has a softer side.
