40 men arrested in NJ child porn investigation

HAMILTON, N.J. (AP) -- A task force targeting child pornography has arrested 40 people in New Jersey.

Attorney General Christopher Porrino and State Police Superintendent Rick Fuentes will announce details during a news conference in Hamilton on Thursday.

At least one person was charged with possession of child pornography in each of the state's 21 counties. Officials say in most cases, the arrests included the distribution of images and videos depicting children engaged in sexual activities.

The task force scanned internet traffic to determine who was sharing and downloading the files across the state.
