12 year-old LI girl shot in head dies, reward offered

The 12-year-old girl on Long Island who was shot in the head was pronounced dead on Saturday night. Officials pronounced Dejah Joyner dead at 7 p.m.

Nassau County investigators believe someone on the street in front of the two-story home opened fire Friday night. A single bullet went through a plate-glass window and struck the girl.

A vigil was held at 1 p.m. on Dartmouth Street. in Hempstead.

A $75,000 reward was announced on Saturday as police sought to identify a suspect in the shooting.

Police have said they're pursuing multiple leads.
