Video shows wild fight during White Sox-Mets game

A dramatic fight broke out in the upper deck at Rate Field during Sunday's game between the Chicago White Sox and New York Mets.

What we know:

Video from the ballpark shows the fight breaking out on the top level during the eighth inning.

Multiple people can be seen throwing punches as the fight spreads across several rows of seats.

At one point, a man jumps from a higher row of seats and lands on top of a person about two rows below.

Security eventually arrives and breaks up the fight.

What we don't know:

It was not immediately clear what led to the confrontation or whether anyone involved was arrested.

On the field

The fight unfolded as the White Sox and Mets were locked in a close game that Chicago eventually won 2-1.

Andrew Benintendi gave the White Sox a 1-0 lead with an RBI double in the eighth inning. The Mets tied the game in the top of the ninth before Tristan Peters hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the inning.

Peters' 406-foot homer gave the White Sox their 11th walk-off victory of the season and second of the series.

What's next:

The White Sox open a series against the Texas Rangers on Monday.
