Stores selling "bullet-resistant" backpacks
The school year starts in just a few short weeks, and some stores are now selling “bullet-resistant” backpacks for students.
Made by Guard Dog Security the bags can be found at Office Depot and Office Max stores or purchased online.
A label on the bag claims that it can stop a 9mm or a .44 Magnum round, but will not stop a round from a high-velocity rifle. They range in place from $120 to $200.
