Passenger van plunges off overpass
NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - A passenger van drove off of a Cross County Parkway exit ramp in Yonkers and crashed down onto the Bronx River Parkway on Thursday morning.
The large silver van was bent where it landed on a Jersey barrier more than 12 feet below. The crash took place around 6:30 a.m.
At least one person was taken away on a stretcher. They were put onto a stretcher and taken away to a hospital. Their injuries were unknown.
It's unclear why the van flipped off of the overpass but there is a large bend in that area. Police continued to investigate.
