Organizing your photos

Our smartphones make the perfect cameras. We can take photo after photo without having to worry about changing the film or developing our images. But now we're encountering an entirely different challenge: How do we organize our endless stream of photos?

There are several options to help you tackle your overflowing photo library, and it turns out these solutions will do a lot of the heavy lifting for you. Many new apps can help you out.

Tom's Guide recently reviewed the top 10 photo organizing apps including Flickr, Slidebox, and Photosync.

Editor in Chief Mark Spoonauer recommends Google Photos as his No. 1 pick. He says it is easy to use and organizes photos by object.

And for anyone afraid of losing their precious memories, there's an app for that, too. Spoonauer recommends automatically backing up your photos. Google Photos and iOS's Photos app can do that. You can also try another app, such as Dropbox.

So snap away and away and whenever you stop to question your trigger-happy approach just remember that a picture really is worth a thousand words.
