Knicks championship parade ALREADY taking over New York City
The New York Knicks are celebrating their NBA championship with a historic ticker-tape parade through New York City. FOX 5’s Tina Cervasio reports from the start of the parade route as floats, double-decker buses, classic cars, Knicks alumni, city leaders and fans gather downtown for a celebration decades in the making. Cervasio says this is the Knicks’ first-ever ticker-tape parade, despite the franchise’s previous championship wins in 1970 and 1973. Knicks legend Walt “Clyde” Frazier is expected to take part in the parade, joining the current championship team and generations of fans celebrating a long-awaited moment in New York sports history.
