Tristate flooding, damage

Flash flood warnings went into effect around 12:30 p.m. and lasted until about 4 p.m. Friday. Several cities in New York and New Jersey were drowning in about three inches of rainwater. Police asked drivers to try to stay off the roads, but many motorists got stranded.
