Another round of snow hits NYC on Christmas Eve: What to expect next
NEW YORK CITY - New Yorkers once again woke up to more snow on the ground, this time on Christmas Eve.
Another snow-producing system moved into the Northeast overnight, creating slick travel conditions on Tuesday morning. Winter Weather Advisories were posted for portions of the Tri-State area.
The latest system comes after several inches of snow fell over the weekend across parts of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, causing slippery travel during what was thought to be one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

The snow continued throughout the early parts of the morning before ending around 10 a.m.
"It moves in and out pretty quickly, but it will be enough for there to be at least a coating of snow out there," FOX 5 NY's Mike Woods had said.
With temperatures expected to remain in the 30s on Christmas Eve and the 20s on Christmas night, the snow will have a very limited chance of melting.
When is winter break?
Winter recess for New York City Public School students begins Monday, Dec. 23 and lasts through Wednesday, Jan. 1.
