Tracking known ICE raids, arrests in New York City: List
NEW YORK CITY - It's been two weeks since President Donald Trump's mass deportation project began across the United States, and since then, thousands of undocumented immigrants have been arrested, including many in New York City.

Local perspective:
On Tuesday morning, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents made over 20 arrests in parts of Manhattan and the Bronx:
- Police arrested 26-year-old Anderson Zambrano-Pacheco, a suspected Tren de Aragua ringleader, in the Bronx.

- Also in the Bronx, Homeland Security officers were seen on Creston Avenue escorting another man down the street in handcuffs, surrounded by cameras and other law enforcement.

- Meanwhile, in Washington Heights, the Drug Enforcement Administration posted photos on X showing federal agents escorting a man in handcuffs out of an apartment building.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem led the charge on Tuesday, saying agents did exactly what Trump promised the American people by taking violent criminals off the streets.
Other known arrests
- A Honduran national, Franklin Osorto-Cruz, was convicted of driving while intoxicated. He was arrested in New York.
- A Jamaican national, Kamaro Denver Haye, arrested for "promote a sexual performance by a child less than 17 years of age and possessing sexual performance by child less than 16 years of age: possess/access to view."

- On Jan. 22, ICE-ERO New York City arrested Jose Roberto Rodriguez-Urbina, a 22-year-old citizen of El Salvador and alleged MS-13 gang member.

What they're saying:
"These are the heinous individuals that this administration is removing from American communities every single day," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in her first briefing last Tuesday. "And to the brave state and local law enforcement officers, CBP and ICE agents who are helping in the facilitation of this deportation operation, President Trump has your back, and he is grateful for your hard work."
By the numbers:
In a Saturday post on X, ICE reported 864 single-day arrests and lodged 621 detainers, which means "there’s probable cause to believe that the person is removable from the United States under federal immigration law."
According to a compilation of daily totals of arrests, as of Feb. 1, ICE has so far arrested 8,276 people who the agency says are in the country illegally.

- The U.S. recorded a record-breaking foreign born population of 47.3 million in 2023, meaning immigrants account for 14.3% of the population.
- As of 2022, 77% of the immigrants in this country were here legally, with 49% becoming naturalized citizens.
- About 23% are unauthorized immigrants, and other 4% are legal temporary residents.
What we don't know:
It's unclear if the people arrested were being investigated before Trump took office. Specific details on all the arrests were not disclosed.
