Construction work on Portal Bridge will primarily affect the rail lines that operate through the Portal Bridge corridor.

This will result in fewer trains running to Penn Station on weekdays.

NJ Transit is encouraging riders to allow for extra travel time and consider working from home while the repairs are underway.

These are the recommended travel time windows:

  • Ride before 7 a.m. or after 9 a.m. on weekday mornings
  • Ride before 4 p.m. or after 7 p.m. on weekday evenings
