It turns out a tweet supposedly posted by the spokesperson for a militia in Oregon that has occupied a remote area of a wildlife preserve was a hoax.

In the tweet posted by a fake "Ammon Bundy," the standoff was compared to the civil rights battle ignited by the arrest of Rosa Parks.

The post by the phony Bundy read: "We are doing the same thing as Rosa Parks did. We are standing up against bad laws which dehumanize us and destroy our freedom," said Bundy via Twitter.

Parks was arrested after refusing to give up her bus seat to a white passenger in 1955. Her arrest lead to a boycott followed bya Supreme Court ruling against segregation in public transportation.

But by late Wednesday afternoon, another post exposed the truth and made fun of those who believed and reported the story:

Reaction to the initial comment was fierce.

"You terrorists are no Rosa Parks and it's an insult to her to compare yourselves to her." - @Amy0227

"Oh this Tweet is priceless, must be the hunger kicking in." - @vicsepulveda

With the takeover entering its fourth day Wednesday, authorities had not removed the group of roughly 20 people from the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in eastern Oregon's high desert country.
