Day 4 of anti-Trump protests continue

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - The protesters marched in a packed group from Union Square to Trump Tower.

They gathered at Union Square Park for day 4 of protests.

"We are going to hold this administration to the fire we want them to know we are always going to be watching always going to be paying attention," said one protestor.  

Students, parents, grandparents and children of all races marched down east 17th street towards 5th avenue chanting "not my president"  opposing Trump’s election to presidency.

Protestors stopped traffic as they headed towards Trump Tower, the home of president-elect Donald Trump.

"Not here to see if the election was unfair or was rigged. I'm here to show that even though he was elected we are against everything he said during the election especially as a New Yorker. He lives here - we have to show him that we reject that kind of rhetoric," said a protestor named Adam.

Among the marchers, people from out of state joined the protest too, such as mother and daughter from North Carolina. Who said she's been attacked at school because of her believes.

"The idea of raising my daughter in a country that I’ve been proud of that is run by misogynist and a bigot and a racist and so much hatred that we have to wear safety pins to show people that we are not part of the group- it's a sad, sad day," she said.

"What I would like to see out of his is that hopefully the Electoral College will see and go with the popular vote and not make just America safe, but the world safe," said another protestor.

Meanwhile president elect Donald Trump supporters didn't keep quiet as they saw anti-Trump protestors march and hold up signs.

"I don't mind the peaceful protest, but I don't like to be called a fascist. Give him a chance. If you don't like him in four years, then we vote him out," said one Trump supporter.

So far, two people have been arrested.
