These are the best cities for walking your dog, new report finds

If you’ve got a dog who loves to walk, some cities are better than others for a nice stroll with your pup.
Dog-sitting app Rover and Redfin, the real estate app, teamed up to share what they found to be the top 10 cities for walking your dog in the U.S.

According to Rover data, golden retrievers, goldendoodles and labrador retrievers are the most popular dog breeds for the top 10 dog-walking cities. The top breeds are on par with the rest of the U.S., where labrador retrievers are the favorite breed in a whopping 28 states. Other trending breeds for those cities include standard schnauzers, schipperkes, pomskys and basset hounds, among others.

Where to live based on your dog’s personality
The report also paired specific dog breeds with the cities it analyzed, based on each breed’s ideal walking environment.
German Shepherd Dogs would do well in a city like Corpus Christi because of its coastline, open spaces and "pet-centric" culture, Rover says, while cities like Portland, Oregon, may be more ideal for a bulldog who likes to "keep it weird." Your great dane might enjoy Des Moines, Iowa, for its "easy" and "moderate" pace.
If you’ve got a shy dog like a dalmatian, you may consider St. Petersburg, Florida, for your aloof furry friend.
