Extreme heat warning in NYC: How hot will it feel?
An extreme heat warning is in effect for the New York City area until 9 p.m. Saturday, with afternoon heat index values expected to feel like 105 to 115 degrees. FOX 5’s Mike Woods says the dangerous heat comes as an air quality alert is also in effect because of high ozone levels. Temperatures could reach 101 degrees today, which would set a record high for the date. Even 100 degrees would tie the daily record.
