
New York schools staying closed through spring, Cuomo says
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says New York schools and colleges will remain closed through the rest of the academic year because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Democrat announced Friday that the order applies to 4.2 million students statewide. It continues a shutdown order that had been set to expire May 15.
